Well, take a good look at the next billboard or magazine picture you see of the perfect body. Is it really real? The answer is probably 'no'. You see many of these bodies have been Photoshopped to create the perfect body. Almost every part of the body can be reshaped to suit the product, blemishes can be removed with a swift click on a computer mouse and all to create an illusion of beauty which, for most of us, is unobtainable.
We live in a society which runs to a timetable. Meals have to be served by a certain time to leave us with time to take the children to school, time for us to get to work, one hour (if we're lucky) to eat lunch, time to pick the kids up from school before rushing off to the gym or evening classes before we can sit down and eat our evening meal and then sit in front of the television. But that's part of the problem. Almost everything we eat is pre packaged for convenience and contains preservatives, added salt, sugar, starch and a whole host of artificial ingredients (E-numbers, colourings and flavourings).
So what are these 6 tips to increase your weight loss?
1. Don't ever diet. Diets are great but once you reach your ideal weight and stop the diet you'll just pile the pounds back on. That's because most people don't change what they eat for good. It's just a quick fix. What you need is to change your lifestyle to suit your new shape.
2. Start reading labels. Do you actually know what's in your sandwich? How can you possibly know what you're eating if you haven't read the label? Check the ingredients and serving sizes. After all, if you don't know how many that pie is supposed to feed then how can you know if you're eating for 1 or 2!
3. Avoid vitamin tablets. If you're trying to lose weight then you should know what you're eating, and eating fresh food is so much better for you than taking a tablet to supplement those vitamins and minerals that you're not getting on a diet.
4. Which leads me on to – eat fresh. Don't waste your money on pre-packaged anything. If you're serious about losing weight then learn to cook with fresh ingredients. Not only do they contain no preservatives etc, they also taste fantastic. If you have the time why not start growing your own vegetables. Once you've eaten your own tomatoes you'll never want to buy pre-packaged ones again.
5. Tell people. The more people you tell the more support you'll get. If people don't know you're trying to lose weight they might inadvertently sabotage your efforts.
6. Carbonated drinks. I just love those people who order diet soda. It doesn't matter whether you drink the full or diet soda they all contain sugar of one kind or another even if it is just a chemical. If you love carbonated drinks then switching to sparkling water will not only increase your water intake but will give you the bubbles you love.
There is another way to lose weight and keep it off. Eat like a caveman! If you don't believe me then let Jon show you how it worked for him. Jon lost 70 pounds of belly fat and managed to keep it off using this 1 simple trick. Let him show you how it can help you too.
