Schools now teach courses that are web facilitated, with one-third of the material presented online; hybrid or blended courses, with up to three-quarters of the material delivered online; or purely online, where the students have no face-to-face meetings with professors at all.
All three options allow students to attend the same programs and learn from the same faculty as campus-based classes. In fact, most schools offer their widest range of classes in an online format because they can easily combine the resources of teachers and materials at various campus locations.
To participate in online education, most individuals will need basic technology including an up-to-date computer, Internet connection, and e-mail account. Students have the best success when they collect this equipment in a quiet spot in a home office or private room they can devote to their coursework. One of the biggest advantages of this form of learning is the ability to work when it is most convenient to you, in the environment of your choosing.
