Born in Kitchener, Ontario on April 24, 1943, David Morrell knew he wanted to become an author as early as sixteen years old. ?Route 66? was the television program that inspired him to enter the field of writing. In 1966, David Morrell relocated from Ontatio to the United States to pursue his studies at the Pennsylvania State university. It was in the same university that he received his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in American literature.
