I recently read a book called The Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It is a short book, only 130 pages, but reading this book has changed my perspective on life and particularly on my businesses. The book also brought to mind one particular person in my life, Chris Hutcherson.

How did evergreen trees first become associated with Christianity and the Christmas holiday?  And how did this evolve into our modern day tradition of decorating a Christmas tree?  We’ll explore the answers to these questions and more.

When we talk about the history of Christmas trees, there are really several issues to address.  First, there is the association of the evergreen tree with Christianity.  When and where did this begin?  Next, how did the evergreen tree come to be associated with the Christian holiday of Christmas?  And last, how did this association manifest itself into our modern day tradition of a decorated tree at the holiday season?  We will examine each of these questions one by one.

This article will discuss how to successfully bid on freelance writing jobs through online marketplaces.

Professional freelance writers usually use five steps to generate a steady flow of work. The five step process is: 1) bidding on work through online services marketplaces; 2) searching for jobs daily on job meta-search engines; 3) browsing online job boards to find jobs; 4) pitching query letters, proposals and article ideas to media outlets, such as magazines and websites; 5) marketing — which includes offline and online promotion, networking and blogging.

For prose in one language to reach another without it being cruelly and sometimes hilariously mangled, it needs that human touch by a freelance translator.

Language is not logical, as even those behind the very best attempts at machine translation will happily attest to. Indeed, if I were to try and decode this article into German using something akin to Babel Fish, I’d end up with something closer to Fermat’s Last Theorem than a guide on how to be a butt-kicking, name-taking freelance translator.

Chinese astrology is an ancient art which guides people all over the world through fulfillment and enlightenment. Let’s see the yearly (2008) prediction for the Chinese sign of the Sheep.

A new 12-year cycle started at Feb 7, 2008 with the Year of the Rat according to the Chinese calendar. This important cycle (or era) ends at Feb 5, 2019. It is a 12-year period generally ruled by the universal element of Earth. There are also other elements which rule over each of the 12 years. For example Earth rules over the first and the second year of the cycle (2008, 2009) while Metal rules over the third and the fourth year of the cycle (2010, 2011). The year 2008 is also ruled by the sign of the Rat and has a Yang (male) nature. So 2008 is the Yang year of the Earth Rat. What are the predictions for the sign of the Sheep for 2008? This is what this article is all about.

What do you fear, and how real are your fears? The most common fears I see and hear from clients (and others!!) include the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, the fear of change and - believe it or not - the fear of success. As real as these fears may seem, most of them are only imaginary (not real) and totally made-up (fantasy).

I like to refer to these made-up scenarios as stories. Part of our humanness includes an amazing ability to make up stories and assumptions, and then to believe them and fabricate some F.E.A.R.: Fictitious Events Appearing Real.
