I'd defy anyone to turn down the opportunity to learn more about the other sex, and be able to use relationship advice with ease, as well as provide it to their close friends and relatives to good effect.

This would be possible with a hypothetical 'relationship degree' at a university – but what would this imaginary degree look like? If professors were to teach people how to manage relationships, how to make up with their ex's, how to attract a partner into their life – what lessons would they teach in their restricted number of lectures?

This is an interesting question, and one I'd like to explore in the following article. Obviously, relationship advice is a very subjective topic and as such, the results here are only my own opinion. I'm sure everyone else's relationship leadership degree would look slightly different!

The key to carrying off a bold new style is to step out with your head held high, knowing that you look great. But you need to take a few preliminary steps to build up your confidence.

Step 1: Make a mood board for your look

This is the first thing that the fashion houses do to establish the feel of their latest collection. Gather together photos of women who are style icons, pictures of inspirational works of art, scraps of patterns and fabric swatches. Tear out magazine photos of garments that you would love to wear. Glue, pin or tape them all together onto a 'board of inspiration' and put it on your dressing table.

Step 2: Don't rush to invest in an entirely new wardrobe

Did you disappoint your parents when you failed your grades? Did they say hurtful things in the heat of the moment that have stayed in your head? Quite often, negative thinking results from messages we received when we were young. Were you bullied at school? Even a friend's childish throwaway comment can lead to years of negative thinking when these thoughts become stored in your subconscious.

Are you unemployed? Do you have a disability? Are you gay? Prejudice and stigma can have a devastating effect on your confidence. The media are often to blame for self-doubt and feelings of worthlessness. The size zero brigade and perfect images of movie icons and rock stars can leave anyone feeling inadequate.

Once learnt, you may repeat these messages endlessly to yourself until they become beliefs, particularly when life is difficult for one reason or another.

Failure
is the first step to paradise and That is a mantra I want you to keep locked in
the back of your mind. Failure is the only way you can improve yourself – but
only if you look at it from this perspective.

I
find it quite amazing that we are a society of failures. This is because I
would equate being contented to already surrendering to failure. We are a
population of ?make do’ individuals who are happy to sit on our laurels and
watch the world go by. There are fewer grains on the Sahara than opportunities for
you to genetically and evolutionarily not be here at all. Life is precious
and I think we have been given hands for a reason – to reach out and grab
opportunity and bend it to our will, use to our advantage and rest only when we
are at the top. This is the psychology of success – and I will discuss 3
overlooked reasons why people fail.

Would life be different if you believed that everything you love and enjoy is just right for you?

What would happen if you knew yourself so well you could say with confidence, “No thank you, I prefer…”

How would you look at others if you really understood that their choices are perfect for them?

The Law of Attraction teaches us to recognize our personal preferences by noticing how things feel and asking ourselves, “Which feels better? This or that?” When we take the time to notice our feelings, we learn about ourselves in a way that leads to great personal freedom and happiness.

Are you happy with yourself – with who you are and what you are doing? If you want high self esteem this is very important. Here’s what you need to be happy with yourself:

a) Don’t compete with others. Life is not a race. Set your own standards and try to reach them, don’t be scared to fail and accept your own limitations. Competing with others will drain you and will take away your self esteem because there will always be someone better than you. Decide on your path and stick to it.

b) Understand yourself. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Use your skills and do your best. You will find satisfaction when you are doing what you are good at and when you accept your weaknesses. Chances are you will also be more successful this way. Try to improve yourself but don’t waste effort and time on those things which are not for you. Accept your best as good enough.

An important aspect of being a creator of your reality is to be in control of your reality at all times. When you are not being in control of your reality, other forces are pulling you in all directions, causing you to feel out of control, lost and confused about what is going on. You stay in control by knowing what it is that you want and acting accordingly, and not to the wishes and influences of the people and environment around you. Being in control also makes you attractive to others because you’re powerful.

It is a very different situation when you are in a group as compared to when you are alone. When you are in a group, the many different intentions and thoughts of people are pulling you in many different directions all at the same time. Therefore to be in control, you have to stay centered and act according to your own mind. You do not have to follow along with the activities of the group no matter who is leading if it is not your wish. You are not here to please men but to please God which is your true inner self.

The truth is that success is not difficult to achieve. Well, here are the 3 simple keys to success:

1. Set achievable and specific goals

How do we know if the goals we set are achievable? Well, here’s my definition of ‘achievable goals’. I personally believe that a goal is not achievable unless you believe that you have the resources to achieve outcome that you desire.

Also, The goal should be as specific as possible so that you can formulate precise ways on how to reach it. Unless you are specific in what you want, it’s very unlikely that you’ll achieve your goals. Think about it. Your mind will not know what to focus on until you direct it to move in a certain direction. By having a specific goal, you’ll not only direct your mind to what you want, you’ll also find yourself attracting the resources you need into your life. Remember the law of attraction?
